Kuliat Foundation, Inc. celebrated its 25th Founding Anniversary last March 12.
KFI is the organization whose mission is to preserve the history, culture and traditions of Angeles City, through the development and promotion of historical, cultural and educational, environmental, social and economic plans, programs and projects for the Angeleños.
Held at the 3rd Level of the Angeles City Library Building, the KFI 25th Anniversary celebration had the theme “Rooted by Culture for the Future.” Attendees came garbed in their Filipiniana outfits.
With specially designed Plaques of Appreciation, KFI paid homage to individuals and organizations that have, over the years, been partners or have supported the organization and its goals.
Recognized were Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin, Jr., KFI Trustee Carmen McTavish, Cherry Blossom Corporation, Chef Claude S. Tayag, Tech czar Dennis Anthony H. Uy, former mayor and current CDC Chair Atty. Edgardo D. Pamintuan, KFI Founding President Eloisa Narciso, Hann Foundation, Inc., Holy Rosary Parish, Juan D. Nepomuceno & Sons, Inc., Peter G. Nepomuceno, and Pidayit royalty Philip D. Torres.
Posthumous awardees are Cong. Carmelo ‘Tarzan’ F. Lazatin, former KFI Trustee Jose ‘Jiji’ Paras and Historian Daniel H. Dizon.
KFI also recognized former employees.
In his message, KFI President Lincoln M. Baluyut expressed gratitude to those who join the organization’s cause. “Through the years, KFI has been achieving milestones with every activity launched and each event initiated with the main thrust of honoring the past, highlighting the present and inspiring the future. And KFI is honored to have generations of Angeleños and Kapampangans as partners in our endeavors.”
Baluyut furthered “We shall continue to preserve the history, culture and traditions of our Angeles City. We will, and we believe we can, because we have your support.”
