In honor of the 82nd Anniversary of Araw ng Kagitingan, Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT 2) and Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT 3) are offering free rides for passengers on April 9 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

LRT 2 operates between Antipolo and Recto stations. The first train departs from both stations at 5 a.m. The last train leaves Recto Station at 9:30 p.m., while the last train departs from Antipolo Station at 9 p.m.

Prior to this announcement, both train managements announced free rides for veterans and their one companion in honor of Philippine Veterans Week from April 5 to 11.

Veteran passengers just need to present their valid Philippine Veterans ID to avail of the free ride.
