LOOK | Fresh from her outstanding performance at the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand, gold medalist swimmer Kayla Noelle Sanchez paid a courtesy call on Mabalacat City Mayor Gerald Guttrie P. Aquino.

In recognition of the honor she brought to the Philippines and Mabalacat City, Mayor Aquino awarded Sanchez a Certificate of Recognition and a ₱100,000 cash incentive.

Also present during the courtesy call were City Tourism Officer Arwin Paul A. Lingat and Mr. Alex Castro.

Sanchez made history at the SEA Games with a perfect 8-for-8 medal finish, earning medals in all eight events she competed in. She secured three gold medals in the 4×100-meter freestyle team relay (3:44.26, New Philippine Record), 100-meter backstroke (1:02.35), and 100-meter freestyle (54.82).

She also captured five silver medals in the 50-meter backstroke (28.84), 50-meter freestyle (25.15, NPR), 200-meter freestyle (2:02.19), 4×200-meter freestyle relay (8:11.55), and 4×100-meter medley relay (4:09.33, NPR).
