Lazatin brothers lead groundbreaking rites in 3 Angeles City health facilities

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. and Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II led the groundbreaking ceremony of three existing health centers which will soon be upgraded to Primary Care Facilities.

Groundbreaking rites were held in the facilities at Barangays Capaya, Tabun and Pulungbulu.

With the Lazatin brothers at the groundbreaking are Department of Health Region III representative Dr. Eric Yumul, Councilors Atty. Arvin Suller, JC Parker-Aguas, Marino Bañola, Alexander Indiongco, and Edu Pamintuan, and Barangay Barangay Captains Rafael Bondoc of Capaya, Alma Mercado of Tabun and Bernardo Santos of Pulungbulu.

“With this initiative to construct, repair and improve our existing health centers, we will be bringing medical services closer to our kababayans who will be needing medical attention. We aim to provide for a more accessible and of course free health services to Angeleños,” Mayor Lazatin said.

Also present are Mayor Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Rep. Jon Lazatin’s Chief-of-Staff Janie Sarmiento, Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles, Angeles City Tourism Auxiliary Head Michael Lising, City Health Officer Dr. Verona Guevarra, City Engineer Donato Dizon, City Planning and Development Officer Engr. Nilda Quito, Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Rudy Simeon, and

The groundbreaking ceremonies for the 8 remaining centers in Sapangbato, Anunas, Amsic, Malabanias, Balibago, Pulung Maragul, and Cutud are scheduled up to May 3, 2023.

During his inaugural speech in 2022, Mayor Lazatin vowed to rehabilitate all existing six Rural Health Units and 28 sub-health centers. Connected to this, Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel in a meeting on April 17, 2023, laid down Lazatin’s instruction to immediately conduct groundbreaking ceremonies to signal the start of the construction works for the said health facilities.
