Lazatin to complete three new computer labs in Angeles City public schools by January

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. announced the allocation of an additional ₱39 million for the construction of computer laboratories in three public schools, slated for completion by January 2025.

The announcement was made during Mayor Lazatin’s State of the Children’s Address on November 21, 2024, held at the Angeles City Library Amphitheater.

The new facilities are being constructed at Governor Rafael Lazatin Memorial High School in Balibago, Governor Rafael Lazatin Integrated School in Sapalibutad, and Malabanias Integrated School.

“This is part of our continuous effort to modernize educational facilities and ensure that our students are equipped with the tools they need for digital learning,” Lazatin said.

The funding follows the successful inauguration of four computer laboratories in August 2024, located at Angeles City National Trade School, Angeles City National High School, and Northville Integrated School.

Each of the new labs will be equipped with 40 computers, along with computer tables, chairs, printers, air conditioning units, smart televisions, and fiber optic internet connections. These upgrades are part of the city’s ICT Modernization Program, aimed at improving the student-to-computer ratio and enhancing digital learning.

A total of ₱60 million has already been invested in recent computer lab upgrades across the city.

The new facilities build on Mayor Lazatin’s earlier efforts, which include the establishment of the first-class Angeles City Library, further demonstrating his administration’s commitment to advancing educational opportunities for Angeleño students.
