“We are truly grateful that Congressman Pogi Lazatin visited our home. My mother has been feeling unwell, and this is the first time a politician has visited us. Thank you so much for the help you have given us,” shared Joey Dimitui, the son of Amancia Dimitui, one of the senior citizens in the First District of Pampanga. Dimitui was among those personally visited by Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., who delivered personal assistance that included Vitamin C, five kilos of rice, groceries, financial aid of PHP 1,000, and free blood tests via a mobile clinic.

Celia Dagdag, wife of senior citizen Cirilo Dagdag, also expressed her gratitude, saying, “We are very thankful to Cong Lazatin for his help. He even visited us at home and brought assistance. We really appreciate it, and we can’t thank him enough.”
Melinda Tongol, daughter of senior citizen Marta Tongol, said, “We are so thankful for the visit. My mother really needed help due to her many health issues, and she never expected that someone like Cong Lazatin would come to our house. This is the first time such a visit has happened. Thank you very much.”
Lazatin, who is running unopposed for Pampanga’s First District Representative, has long been known for his ‘house-to-house’ outreach, especially to senior citizens.
As Mayor of Angeles City, Lazatin gained a reputation for his accessible approach to public service, frequently visiting barangays to personally deliver social services such as free vaccinations, vitamins for children, and medicines and social pensions for senior citizens.
Currently, Lazatin is on track to visit 322 senior citizens in Mabalacat City and 247 senior citizens in Magalang Municipality. His visits began on March 18, 2025, in Barangay San Isidro, Magalang.
When Lazatin declared his candidacy on June 28, 2024, he promised to bring the same level of service to Mabalacat and Magalang that he had previously provided to Angeles City residents.
“I will go door-to-door because I want to understand the needs, concerns, and voices of my fellow citizens in the First District of Pampanga,” Lazatin said. “I want to bring my service closer to the people, especially those who are in need.”
“I’ve done this for six years in Angeles City, and I’m excited to expand this effort and reach out to the communities of Mabalacat and Magalang,” he added.
