The Philippines’ youngest incumbent Mayor, Jose Antonio “Tonton” Bustos delivered his first State of the Municipality Address (SOMA) at the Masantol Civic Center, June 14.
For almost a year, the “Bayung Masantol” administration launched and realized projects for the advancement of the town which were discussed by the local chief executive officer himself.
Bustos emphasized the town’s pride and assets such as “human heritage, culture of malasakit, volunteerism and altruism found only in Masantol.”
Furthermore, the Mayor highlighted his full support and empowerment of his fellow Masantoleño youth as he anchored in capacitating them to provide platforms and harness themselves as the future workforce.
Masantol’s Local Chief Executive bared relevanr accomplishments on responsive and efficient delivery of public service and social protection program, and transparent and accountable rationalization of government resources.
Presented during his address were significant investments in public health, equal access to quality education, public safety, peace and order.
“We will make sure that Masantol will be the safest and most peaceful town, a tranquil place to live in,” added Bustos.
Despite the perennial flooding and adverse effects of climate change in the municipality, volunteerism, patriotism and nationalism among Kapampangans were evident under the”Bayung Masantol” leadership.
“What he read during his SOMA reflects his service and advocacies . We are lucky to be united with the local teams and other stakeholders,” said Patrol Partylist Representative Jorge Bustos.
The Mayor’s father shared that his best advice for his son are prayers and faith to face and conquer challenges and prioritize his health to perform his duty well.
“Our people is our greatest wealth and our greatest asset,” Mayor Bustos remarked, referring to contributors of the town’s progress and prosperity.
