𝑁𝑒𝑤 𝑐𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑙𝑠 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑑 𝑝𝑒𝑟 𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑑𝑒 𝑙𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑙

The Mabalacat City Government, in partnership with the Department of Education Mabalacat City Division, officially launched today, August 14 at Dau Elementary School, Brigada Eskwela 2023. 

With the theme, “Bayanihan para sa MATATAG na Paaralan!” Brigada Eskwela 2023 was participated in by the Mabalacat City’s public schools, teachers, students, parents, and the community, all united by the aim of having a clean and fully prepared environment for a child-friendly school before the school year formally starts. 

The DepEd’s MATATAG Agenda elevates the Brigada Eskwela commitment this year as the stakeholders in education are getting ready and adapting the agenda to resolve basic education challenges, namely MA – Make the curriculum relevant to produce job-ready, active and responsible citizens; TA – Take steps to accelerate delivery of basic education facilities and services; TA – Take good care of learners by promoting learner well-being, inclusive education, and a positive learning environment; and G – Give support to teachers to teach better.

Mayor Garbo expressed his support and involvement on these objectives through leading the BE 2023 and providing new materials for cleaning and repairing the school. 

He said, “One of my priorities is the well-being of the students. I want them to have a conducive environment where they can learn comfortably and peacefully.” 

The mayor signed the Brigada Eskwela 2023 Pledge of Commitment with the Schools Division Superintendent Maria Carmen P. Cuenco, EdD., CESO V, and significant stakeholders in education. 

Present during the program were Dau Elementary School Principal Irene D. Ocampo, Teacher’s Club President Rowena Pangilinan, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator Zaida Canlapan, Dau Barangay Councils and SK members.
