Mayor Cris Garbo and the City Youth Development Office headed by Jaira Lomahan, organized an orientation on Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) and Student Driving Permit Assistance as part of the Road Safety Month 2024 activities. The event took place this morning at the Youth Community Center, Jade Hall, in Mabalacat City.
The initiative aimed to equip young Mabalaqueños with the knowledge and awareness necessary to become responsible and safe drivers and commuters on the road. The event featured informative sessions on road safety regulations, defensive driving techniques, and the importance of following traffic laws to prevent accidents and promote a culture of safety within the community.
Mayor Cris Garbo also emphasized the significance of educating the youth on road safety, and he also highlighted the alarming statistics of road accidents and the need for proactive measures to address this issue.
Jaira Lomahan, the head of the City Youth Development Office, commended the participants for their interest in learning about safe driving practices and obtaining their student driving permits.
