In an effort to combat illegal activities and maintain peace and security in Mabalacat City, Mayor Crisostomo Garbo has urged barangay officials, and city hall employees to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities within their communities.

With issues related to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) continuing to plague Region 3, Mayor Garbo has taken early proactive steps to address the situation. Even before the releasing of an EO by the governor, Mayor Garbo has already instructed the local Philippine National Police (PNP) and barangay officials, along with the LGU’s Business Permit and Licensing Unit (BPLU), to be on the look against illegal activities conducted on business establishments in the city.

In relation to this, reports have reached MCG regarding a concerning problem in some towns where criminals are renting houses, apartments, or establishments to operate illegal activities, referred to as “scam hubs.” Mayor Garbo has expressed his concern over this information during flag ceremony and emphasized the importance of the community’s cooperation in combating such illicit practices.

In his Monday morning message, Mayor Cris Garbo appealed to the public to report any suspicious activities to him for proper inspection.

“It is important to have a collective action in upholding peace, security, and order in Mabalacat City, and I urge my kabalens to remain vigilant and proactive in safeguarding their neighborhoods,” said MCG.
