Mabalacat City, under the leadership of Mayor Geld Aquino, has been recognized with the 2025 Peace Markers: Best Peace and Order Council Award, securing 4th place in the DILG–Pampanga Provincial Excellence Awards.
Only five municipalities and cities across the province received this distinction, honoring their effective implementation of peace and order programs.
In an official letter dated December 1, 2025, the DILG commended the city’s Peace and Order Council for its sustained efforts in maintaining local security.
The award was formally presented on December 3, 2025 at the Kingsborough International Convention Center in the City of San Fernando. Mayor Aquino accepted the recognition alongside LGOO VI Dianne Lorin T. Tolentino and PLtCol Efren N. David, Jr.
This recognition affirms the strong collaboration between the city government, police force, barangays, and the community in ensuring a safer Mabalacat City.
