Mabalacat City kicks off National Women’s Month 2026 celebration

Mabalacat City marked the start of its 2026 National Women’s Month celebration with a kick-off ceremony held in front of the City Hall, led by Mayor Geld P. Aquino.

In his message, Mayor Aquino emphasized the city government’s continued support for programs that strengthen the role of women in the community. He highlighted the importance of women’s participation in shaping a more inclusive and progressive city.

Vice Mayor Jun Castro also joined the ceremony, expressing support for initiatives that promote women’s rights, capacities, and empowerment across various sectors of society.

City officials, including Councilors Ike Morales, Noel Castro, Errol Soliven, Benny Jocson, Timmy Dee, Vicoy Ong, Dr. Stephen Aurelio, Patricia Ann Acorda, Marjorie Grace M. Sambo, Elizabeth R. Pineda, and Ruvielane Margarito, attended the event, emphasizing the importance of policies and programs that advance gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The program featured inspirational messages from Minea CabigtingGAD Officer Zafyr C. Aquino presented the calendar of activities planned for the month as part of the citywide celebration.

This year’s celebration carries the theme “Lead Like Babaylans, Filipinas”, recognizing the significant contributions of women in leadership and their role in driving societal progress.
