Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo congratulated two (2) promising basketball talents from Mabalacat City, Justine Baltazar and Ronan Santos, for being drafted in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Justine Baltazar, a native of barangay Lakandula and then later in Mawaque, was selected as the 1st pick in the 1st round, while Ronan Santos from barangay Dau was chosen as the 1st pick in the 3rd round by the Converge Fiber Xers.

Mayor Cris Garbo, a known sports enthusiast, expressed his pride in the accomplishments of the young cagers and highlighted the importance of their success in inspiring the youth of Mabalacat City to excel in both sports and academics.

Known for his own active participation in various sports such as basketball, baseball, golf, and cycling, the 60-year-old mayor emphasized the value of sports in promoting camaraderie, discipline, and physical fitness among his kabalens of Mabalacat City.

Mayor Cris Garbo also mentioned the ongoing MCG inter-barangay basketball league in Mabalacat City, emphasizing the role of such local sporting events in nurturing and showcasing the talents of aspiring athletes within the city.
