As part of his commitment to prioritize peace and order in his town, Porac Mayor Jaime “Jing” Capil has instructed the local police to intensify efforts in eliminating criminal activities and arresting elements involved.
“Our vision for our community is one where every resident can live without fear and where the rule of law is upheld,” Capil shares.
His dedication to these principles underscores his commitment to fostering a safe, vibrant, and thriving community for all, making Porac a safe and business-friendly town.
Recently, the local police led by Lieutenant Colonel Samuel A. Quibete filed murder charges against two suspects involved in a heinous crime.
The police filed double homicide and frustrated homicide charges against Robert Zafe and his son Rex Zafe before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in the City of San Fernando.
The two individuals were involved in stabbing and killing two individuals, Matthew Morden and Mario Morden, after a heated argument during a basketball game in Barangay Mitla last October 1, 2023. Another individual, Martin Morden, was hurt in the incident.
Capil lauded Quibete and his team for doubling their efforts and dedication to public safety that led to the arrest of Rex Zafe.
Zafe was apprehended in Virac, Catanduanes on July 4, 2024, and was detained in Porac town in July 17, 2024.
He was presented to Mayor Capil on July 25 at the Porac Municipal Police Station.
“Thank you for your commitment to public safety,” Capil said adding that, “In this town, we will not tolerate heinous acts because we want Porac to be peaceful and livable.”
Capil transformed Porac from a sleepy town to a progressive municipality since he took office in 2019 with his transformative projects and programs, all with his vision of making Porac a City in the future.
