In anticipation of Typhoon Uwan (Fung-Wong), Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II has ordered the temporary removal and safekeeping of colorful parols displayed across the city to ensure the safety of motorists and residents.
The precautionary measure is part of the city government’s preparedness efforts** as strong winds and heavy rains are expected with the approaching typhoon. City personnel have begun taking down parols installed along major roads and public areas to prevent potential accidents or damage.

Mayor Lazatin emphasized that public safety remains the top priority. “We want to make sure that everyone stays safe as we prepare for Typhoon Uwan. The parols will be put back once the weather clears,” he said.
The Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO) and other local departments remain on full alert, monitoring weather updates and coordinating with barangay officials for emergency response and assistance.
Residents are advised to stay indoors during severe weather conditions and to follow official announcements from the Angeles City Information Office for updates.
Keep safe, Angeleños!
