Amid a continuous rise in dengue cases, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II has called for a city-wide response to combat the mosquito-borne disease. During a meeting with all 33 Punong Barangays, Lazatin emphasized the urgent need for coordinated efforts as cases have remained above the epidemic threshold for four consecutive weeks, based on the latest report from the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit led by Dr. Jessie Paul Culang.
✅ Most affected: youth aged 10–19 (data from July 20–26, 2025)
To address the surge, the City Government is implementing the following measures:

✅ Barangays to lead SEARCH AND DESTROY operations every 4:00 PM, every other day, until no new cases are recorded for 28 days.
✅ Daily 4:00 PM clean-ups in schools, both public and private.
✅ Fogging/misting to be done weekly for 4 cycles after each clean-up.
✅ Household participation in 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗞𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗼 encouraged.
✅ Practice the 4Ts: Taoob (empty stagnant water), Taktak (drain damp areas), Tuyo (keep containers dry), and Takip (cover water containers).

Mayor Lazatin appeals to residents, barangay officials, and schools to join hands in fighting dengue and protecting the health of every Angeleño.
