Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. is a nominee for the Most Outstanding Local Chief Executive Category in the prestigious Gawad Parangal Awards of the Association of Local Social Welfare and Development Officers of the Philippines, Inc. (ALSWODOPI).
Mayor Lazatin, together with Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, some key department heads, and officers-in-charge participated in a virtual validation on March 13, 2024 hosted by national and regional officers of ALSWODOPI.
Lazatin presented a comprehensive overview of the social services programs of the city government delivered to Angeleños.
Also attending the validation are City Social Welfare and Development Officer Edna Duaso, City Planning and Development Officer Engr. Nilda Quito, Quality Management System Representative Chrysalene Cunanan, City Nutrition Officer-in-Charge Francis De Guzman, City Treasurer Jenifer Castro, City Budget Officer Jane Nakpil, City Accountant Lilibeth Enriquez, and Mina Joson of CPDO.
Mayor Pogi’s late father, Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin, won the same award twice in 2005 and 2006.
