Mayor Susan Yap attends 2026 Barangay Congress in Baguio

Tarlac City Mayor Susan Yap attended the 2026 Liga ng mga Barangay Congress held on March 14 at the Crown Legacy Hotel along Kisad Road in Baguio City.

The congress, attended by barangay officials, carried the theme “Outlining New Ways: Achieving Real Development Forging Ahead Skills Enhancement Training Towards Good Governance for Barangay Officials” and was aimed at further strengthening the skills and capabilities of barangay leaders in delivering effective governance in their communities.

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, also graced the event and delivered an inspirational message to the participants.

In her remarks, Mayor Susan Yap thanked Magalong Magalong for his presence and emphasized the importance of gatherings such as the barangay congress in equipping local officials with new knowledge and strategies for leadership.

Yap noted that such events provide an opportunity for barangay officials to exchange ideas and learn innovative approaches that can help improve governance and service delivery in their respective communities.

Also present during the congress were Cernan Cruz, president of the Association of Barangay Captains City Federation, along with Tarlac City councilors Pee Jay Basangan, Emy Ladera-Facunla, Jerome Lapeña, and Anne Belmonte.
