This holiday season, the spirit of giving shines brightly at McDonald’s Philippines, as Founder and Chairman Dr. George T. Yang leads initiatives that celebrate sharing, kindness, and joy—especially among children.
Dr. Yang takes on the role of Santa Claus in McDonald’s Christmas online video, where he teams up with legendary singer and composer Jose Mari Chan to highlight the true meaning of the season. Through music and storytelling, the video encourages children and adults alike to share a Happy Meal, a toy, and moments of happiness that leave a lasting impact.

“All of us love seeing the twinkle in children’s eyes whenever they receive a gift. This Christmas, we want our children to experience that same special feeling that comes with giving,” Dr. Yang said.
Early Christmas on World Children’s Day
McDonald’s kicked off the holiday cheer early by celebrating World Children’s Day on November 20, 2025, with children and families supported by Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). McDonald’s Philippines, RMHC, and media partners gathered at the Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit in Biñan, Laguna for a day filled with food, games, and festive activities.
Children enjoyed McDonald’s favorites, Happy Meal toys, and fun interactions with Ronald McDonald and friends. The celebration held special meaning, as Bahay Bulilit Biñan—personally gifted by Dr. Yang to the city’s children—was inaugurated just last October.
City Mayor Angelo Alonte expressed gratitude, noting that the learning center is a meaningful gift that will benefit Biñan’s children for many years, beyond the Christmas season.
The Gift of Education with Every Happy Meal
This Christmas, customers can also take part in the spirit of giving through the Happy Meal “Buy One, Gift One” initiative, which began on December 5. Each Happy Meal comes with two toys—one for the child and another to be shared with a sibling, friend, or anyone who would appreciate the gesture.
Beyond sharing toys, every Happy Meal purchase supports RMHC, with a portion of sales funding the construction of Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit Learning Centers nationwide. These centers provide safe spaces where preschool children can learn, play, and develop essential skills for formal schooling.
There are currently 53 Bahay Bulilit Learning Centers across the country, serving at least 5,000 children annually. This holiday season, all children enrolled in these centers will receive a special McDonald’s meal and a Happy Meal toy as a Christmas treat.
“It’s truly inspiring when we come together and share our blessings, especially for a cause as meaningful as supporting children’s education,” Dr. Yang said. “Education is one of the greatest gifts we can give, and it’s a mission we support all year round.”
Christmas Cheer at the Drive-Thru and on the Menu
McDonald’s also brings the festive spirit to its drive-thru lanes, adorned with colorful lights, Christmas décor, and holiday surprises that turn everyday visits into magical experiences.
Adding to the celebration are Christmas-inspired menu offerings, including the new McDonald’s Honey Butter Chicken and the White Choco Cereal McFlurry—sweet treats perfect for the holiday season.
Through these initiatives, McDonald’s Philippines continues to spread happiness and the joy of giving, making Christmas more meaningful for families and communities nationwide.
