Jose Montes, Mekeni Food Corporation’s trade marketing manager, has been recognized as one of the top 12 young marketers in the Philippines at the 2024 Young Market Masters Awards (YMMA). He earned the award for his creative approach to launching products and engaging with customers.
Montes’s use of lean strategies helped boost Mekeni’s brand presence and led to record sales in 2023.
Mekeni President Pruds Garcia praised Montes for his hard work and leadership, saying, “Jose has set a high standard for our team.” Assistant Vice President for Marketing, Kat Gomez-Schultz, also commended Montes, noting that his recognition reflects the collective effort of the Mekeni team.
The YMMA, organized by Mansmith and Fielders Inc., celebrates the top marketing, sales, and entrepreneurship professionals in the Philippines, encouraging continued growth and innovation.
Montes’s award not only highlights his success but also showcases Mekeni’s strong performance, which led to their best sales figures this year.
Other winners at the 19th YMMA include marketers from companies like McDonald’s, GCash, Nutriasia, and Jollibee Group.
