Mekeni Food Corporation will take the spotlight at the first-ever One Pampanga Food and Beverage Expo on September 13–14, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center, as the event’s largest booth sponsor.
The expo, a key addition to the region’s culinary and business calendar, will showcase the richness and diversity of Pampanga’s food and beverage industry. For Mekeni, a homegrown brand now recognized globally, the event coincides with its 40th anniversary.
Founded in Porac in 1986, Mekeni began as a small family venture and has grown into one of the country’s most trusted food manufacturers, known for its hotdogs, tocino, longanisa, and other processed meats.
“This is more than just a booth—it’s a celebration of where we came from and where we’re headed,” said Mekeni President Pruds Garcia, emphasizing the company’s roots in Kapampangan culture and its vision for Filipino food in the global market.
During the two-day expo, Mekeni will feature free product tastings, previews of new offerings, and interactive displays that narrate its 40-year journey. The company will also highlight its growing export presence in Asia, the Middle East, and North America, along with plans to further expand its reach and introduce innovative products.
“There is growing global interest in Filipino flavors, and we believe Kapampangan cuisine has a key role to play,” Garcia said. “Our goal is to bring pride to the Philippines by showing the world what our culinary heritage can offer.”
Beyond food innovation, Mekeni’s participation reflects its enduring commitment to regional growth, entrepreneurship, and job creation—values that have defined the brand since its inception.
As it enters its 40th year, Mekeni moves forward with the same heart and purpose that shaped its beginnings—bringing Kapampangan flavors to the world while championing quality, innovation, and nation-building.
