Mekeni Food Corporation has successfully maintained its compliance with the FSSC 22000 v6.0/GHP/HACCP certification following an unannounced surveillance audit by SGS, a globally recognized certification body. This achievement underscores Mekeni’s ongoing dedication to upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality.
The FSSC 22000 certification is an internationally recognized standard that ensures food organizations meet rigorous safety, quality, and sustainability criteria. Mekeni’s consistent adherence to this standard demonstrates its commitment to protecting consumer health by ensuring the integrity of its products throughout the entire production process.

Mekeni has a longstanding track record of passing various food safety certifications and earning prestigious awards, including ISO 22000:2005 (Food Safety Management System) in 2006, the Grand Slam Award for Best Meat Processing Plant AAA Category (2004-2006), the World Quality Commitment Award (France, 2016), the International Arch of Europe (Germany, 2013), and the Century International Quality ERA Award (Switzerland, 2012).
The company is also the first and only heat processing facility accredited by Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries to export products to Japan, a milestone achieved in 2017.
