Men’s Health Symposium for Mabalaquenians

On June 19, 2024, the Mabalacat City Health Office, in collaboration with the City Population GAD Office, celebrated Men’s Health Month by hosting the Men’s Health Symposium and Kalalakihan Tapat sa Responsibilidad at Obligasyon sa Pamilya (KATROPA) at Side Griller, Mabiga, Mabalacat City.

The symposium, which aimed to address and emphasize men’s health issues for selected male employees of the Mabalacat City LGU, featured expert speakers who shared valuable insights on various health and family topics.

Dr. Albert Mercado, a renowned urologist, tackled issues such as erectile dysfunction (ED) and prostate health, discussing the causes, prevention, and treatment options for ED, and highlighting the importance of early detection and medical consultation. He also stressed the significance of regular prostate check-ups in preventing prostate cancer, a major health concern for men worldwide.

Another key segment was a discussion led by ARD Adreal Denver C. Monterona from the Commission on Population and Development and Mr. Michael Cruz on KATROPA.

Men’s Health Month aims to ensure that men’s health and family issues receive the attention they deserve. By promoting awareness, education, and community support, Mabalacat City strives to foster a healthier, more inclusive, and supportive environment for all men.
