Mutya Ning Angeles 2024 Crown: A Symbol of Growth and Resilience

The Mutya Ning Angeles (MNA) 2024 crown, designed by celebrated multi-disciplinary artist Cholo Ayuyao, is more than an emblem of beauty—it is a testament to Angeles City’s growth, resilience, and artistic legacy, under the visionary leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr.

A Crown Inspired by Progress
Ayuyao, an artist with 27 years of experience, imbued the crown with a deeper meaning that reflects the city’s upward trajectory.

“I wanted the crown to mirror the skyline of Angeles City— angular, rising, and full of life,” Ayuyao shared. “The design includes rhinestones, zirconia, and lab-grown garnets, symbolizing the vitality and dynamism of the city I’ve always loved.”

The crown’s angular design represents Angeles City’s steady economic rise and captures the essence of a community driven by resilience and ambition.

A Vision of Simplicity and Strength
Ayuyao emphasized balance in his design approach, creating a piece that is both “simple and striking.”

“The materials reflect the city’s enduring energy,” he said. “I wanted the crown to be more than a decorative piece—it’s a symbol of our collective spirit and shared journey toward progress.”

Celebrating Art and Community
A proud resident of Barangay Sto. Rosario, Ayuyao’s artistry spans fashion design, costume jewelry, and doll artistry. For him, the opportunity to design the crown is a celebration of Angeles City’s vibrant arts scene.

He expressed gratitude to Mayor Lazatin and the MNA working committee, led by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, for championing local artists and fostering creativity within the community.

A Crown of Legacy
The MNA 2024 crown is more than just a symbol of beauty—it encapsulates the spirit of Angeles City, a city that continues to rise, thrive, and inspire. Through this iconic piece, Ayuyao not only highlights the city’s growth but also cements its place as a beacon of resilience and culture.

For Angeles City, the crown represents not just an event, but a celebration of its people, progress, and future.
