Designer Cholo Ayuyao, who hand crafts the Mutya Ning Angeles crowns, describes this yearโs MNA crown as a symbol of the โshiningโ administration of Mayor Carmelo โPogiโ Lazatin, Jr.
Called a โstarโ or โBatuinโ in Kapampangan, the crown is also a symbol of direction โ the festive Paskung Kapampangan and its seemingly enigmatic faint luminosity that hides its true power and shine.
โThis is our meaning behind the MNA 2023 crown,โ Ayuyao said, adding โThe crown will have the unmistakable angles of a star, elaborated with red crystals, Rhinestones and zircon gems.โ
Ayuyao, who has been in the fashion and arts industry for 20 years now, said that Mayor Lazatinโs support to local fashion and art, including โBatuinโ encourages Angeleรฑos to be the best that they can be.
โI am thankful to the administration of Mayor Lazatin and the MNA working committee led by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel for constantly supporting us through your programs,โ Ayuyao said.
The Mutya Ning Angeles 2023 grand coronation night is set on November 30, 2023 at the Grand Palazzo Royale. This is another priority project of Mayor Lazatin, co-presented by the Beautรฉderm Corporation led by President and Chief Executive Officer Rei Anicoche-Tan.
