A new chapter begins for the Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM), AFP as Major General Aristotle Danan Gonzalez, PAF, was promoted to Lieutenant General and officially assumed command as the 35th Commander during the Change of Command Ceremony held last October 24 at Camp Aquino, San Miguel, Tarlac City.
The donning of ranks and assumption of command were led by General Romeo S. Brawner Jr., Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). The ceremony marked both a milestone in Lt. Gen. Gonzalez’s career and the AFP leadership’s continued trust in his capability to lead the “Defenders of the North.”
In his address, Lt. Gen. Gonzalez vowed to strengthen NOLCOM’s operational readiness, boost interagency cooperation, and advance support for national development, in alignment with the AFP’s mission of building a strong, responsive, and unified defense force.
He also unveiled his command thrust — “PRESS ON NOLCOM: One Frontier, One Defense” — underscoring his call for clarity of purpose and unity of action among all units under his command.
