In preparation for the 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA), the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has activated its Overall Command Center to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of electricity during the national event.
From 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the center will coordinate efforts across key units, including System Operations and Operations & Maintenance, to closely monitor the grid and swiftly respond to any power disturbances.
NGCP has deployed line crews, engineers, pilots, and technical teams to substations and critical locations, ready to act in case of line trippings or system disruptions.
Regular transmission line and substation status updates will be shared with the public every four hours.
“Our Integrated Disaster Action Plan outlines all necessary protocols to ensure the grid’s reliability during major national events like the SONA,” NGCP stated. “We remain committed to delivering stable and secure power transmission services.”
