NLEX begins Meycauayan River Bridge improvement project

NLEX Corporation has started major improvement works on the Meycauayan River Bridge to enhance road surface quality and address potholes and other defects that typically appear during the rainy season.

“Please expect travel delays while this project is ongoing. We appreciate our customers’ understanding as we complete these works. This short-term inconvenience will result in smoother and safer travel along this stretch of the NLEX,” said NLEX Corporation President and General Manager Luis S. Reñon.

To facilitate the enhancement works:
🚧 Lane Closures: A one-lane closure is in effect on weekdays, with only one lane closed at a time. All four lanes remain open during weekend rush hours.
🚧Compensating Lane: One lane of the East Service Road, between Ever Memorial Park in Lawang Bato, Valenzuela, and Libtong, Meycauayan, is being used as a compensating lane for northbound traffic.
🚧Southbound Repairs: With the completion of the northbound repairs, work will shift to the southbound side, with a counterflow scheme for Manila-bound motorists while the East Service Road continues to serve northbound vehicles.

Motorists are advised to follow traffic marshals and directional signs and can check alternate routes and traffic updates via NLEX Corporation’s official social media accounts or by calling its 24/7 hotline at 1-35000.

The Meycauayan River Bridge improvement project is expected to be completed before Holy Week.
