NLEX Corporation reaffirmed its commitment to safer roads as it rolled out another installment of its long-running “See Clearly, Drive Safely” eye care program, held in partnership with the Nagkakaisang Samahan Ng Panlalawigang Bus ng Pilipinas Inc. (NSNPBPI) on November 12.
A total of 71 bus drivers from some of the country’s biggest provincial transport groups—including Baliwag Transit, Golden Bee Transport, Genesis Transport Service, Victory Liner, Saulog Transit, Pangasinan Five Star, Bataan Transit, Luzon Cisco, and Metrolink—received free eye check-ups, visual accuracy exams, refraction tests, and complimentary reading or prescription eyeglasses.

Anchored on NLEX’s Mission Road Safety campaign, the initiative underscores how clear eyesight directly contributes to safer journeys.
“Clear vision is the first step toward safe driving. Our ‘See Clearly, Drive Safely’ program is a direct investment in the well-being of our drivers and, ultimately, in the safety of every commuter. Kapag malinaw ang mata, malayo sa disgrasya,” said NLEX President and General Manager Luis S. Reñon.
For Victory Liner driver Rosalio Lupio, the program offers life-changing support: “Para sa amin na may edad na at malabo ang paningin lalo na sa gabi, malaking bagay talaga ang libreng salamin.”
NSNPBPI Executive Director Alex Yague likewise emphasized the importance of encouraging drivers to prioritize eye health, calling the program a vital step toward fostering responsibility on the road.
Since its launch in 2017, “See Clearly, Drive Safely” has provided essential eye care to nearly a thousand drivers from NSNPBPI and NLEX–SCTEX host communities — strengthening NLEX Corporation’s mission to protect road users and champion road safety as a shared commitment.
