Pampanga First District Congressman Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. attended the Pre-Cast I Girder Installation Ceremony of the North–South Commuter Railway (NSCR) Extension Project, Contract Package No. 4, held on January 20, 2026.
The ceremony was led by Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Giovanni Lopez, marking another milestone in the construction of the major railway project aimed at improving mass transportation and regional connectivity.
Also present at the event were DOTr Undersecretary for Railways Timothy Batan; Assistant Secretary for Railway Eduardo Macabulos; Assistant Secretary for Right of Way and Site Acquisition (ROWSA) IC Calaguas; and Project Manager Narciso Preclaro Jr., underscoring the national government’s continued commitment to fast-tracking the NSCR project.
