PH’s FIRST-EVER FLOATING CLINIC TO SET SAIL IN PAMPANGA

In a groundbreaking move to make healthcare more accessible, the Provincial Government of Pampanga is set to launch “Clinic on Barge,” the Philippines’ first-ever floating clinic aimed at delivering medical services to remote and underserved communities across the province.

Spearheaded by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, the ₱28-million, 112-square-meter facility was recently inspected by key provincial and local officials, including Vice Governor Pineda and Minalin Mayor Philip “Pogi” Naguit.

The floating clinic is equipped to provide primary healthcare to up to 200 patients, offering services such as X-rays, ultrasound, ECG, dental care, OB-Gyne consultations, minor surgeries, and access to prescription medicine. It also features a sewage treatment system and water pump to support operations in isolated areas.

“This clinic is a testament to our commitment to inclusive, high-quality healthcare for every Kapampangan, no matter how far,” said Vice Governor Pineda.

The facility marks a historic first in Philippine healthcare, ensuring that no community is left behind—even those surrounded by water.
