Premier Apple partner Power Mac Center (PMC) has reinforced the Provincial Government of Bataan’s efforts to enhance digital learning with the delivery of over 4,000 MacBook devices. This initiative aims to accelerate capacity-building for teachers in grade schools and high schools across the province.
During a recent turnover ceremony led by Governor Jose Enrique “Joet” Garcia III, the devices were distributed to elementary teachers, school heads, and schools with computer laboratories. The project forms part of Bataan’s strategy to integrate technology into classrooms, improving the teaching and learning experience with digital tools and interactive platforms.
“Power Mac Center is honored to support Bataan’s educators and contribute to their digital transformation in education. We look forward to partnering with more local governments and educational institutions to help Filipino students thrive globally,” said Joey Alvarez, PMC Director for Marketing and Product Management.
In addition to device provision, the local government benefits from PMC’s comprehensive services, including product procurement, priority repairs, and technical training for teachers, school principals, and IT staff. The training covers how to maximize Apple devices in the classroom and provides resources to foster innovation.
This investment is expected to enhance students’ competitiveness and equip them with the essential digital skills needed for the modern workforce.
“We know this will aid your teaching, from lesson planning to execution,” said Bataan Vice Governor Ma. Cristina Garcia. “We proudly share our Special Education Fund to support the education system here in Bataan.”
This turnover ceremony marked the second installment of PMC’s partnership with Bataan, following the success of an initial device distribution in 2023, which benefited over 2,500 junior and senior high school teachers, as well as division supervisors.
