The Mabalacat City Government, led by Mayor Crisostomo Garbo announces the construction of the much-anticipated first pedestrian overpass in Mabalacat City!.
This infrastructure project being implemented by the DPWH aims to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility, making it easier for residents and visitors to navigate the bustling areas within Dau business district.
To facilitate the launching of steel girders for this landmark project, the section of MacArthur Highway in Barangay Dau (near Didi’s Pizza and Wilcon Depot) will be temporarily closed to traffic from 10:00 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, until 5:00 AM on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
During the road closure, the Mabalacat City Government has prepared a comprehensive traffic rerouting plan to minimize congestion. Motorists are advised to refer to the layout provided by the Mabalacat City Traffic Enforcement Group (MCTEG) for guidance on alternative routes.
All motorists are encouraged to plan their trips in advance, as traffic congestion is expected during this time. To avoid such inconvenience, please consider using alternative routes such as the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), SCTEx and CMAR.
The Mabalacat City Government appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation as it improves the city’s infrastructure for everyone’s benefit.
