Pag-IBIG, Good Samaritan Medical Center to expand medical access for members

The Pag-IBIG Fund has signed two landmark agreements with the Nueva Ecija Good Samaritan Health System Inc. to provide expanded hospital access and financial relief for Pag-IBIG members, healthcare workers, and their families.

The memoranda of agreement (MOAs) were signed in time for the 47th anniversary of Good Samaritan Medical Center and are seen as a milestone collaboration for both institutions.

Under the first MOA, qualified members may avail of Pag-IBIG’s Health and Education Loan Program (HELP), which includes a 6% discount on room rates, laboratory tests, and imaging services. Loan proceeds will be disbursed directly to the hospital, streamlining the process for patients in need of financial support.

The second agreement grants a 5% discount on the same services for members holding the Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus, covering both inpatient and outpatient services.

“This partnership ensures that Pag-IBIG members, our healthcare workers, and their families receive timely financial and medical support, especially during life’s most difficult moments,” said Good Samaritan Medical Center Chief Operating Officer Richard Lirio.

Pag-IBIG Fund Area Head for Central Luzon II Ruben Galamay emphasized that the Loyalty Card Plus serves not only as a valid government-issued ID but also as an ATM and savings card through Pag-IBIG’s banking partners, Asia United Bank and UnionBank.

Good Samaritan Medical Center President Oscar Deus said the partnership affirms their joint commitment to making healthcare more accessible for Filipinos.
