The Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (PamCham) has always been at the forefront of championing homegrown Kapampangan businesses, and their recent visit to Makimura Ramen Bar’s first Metro Manila branch in SM City North Edsa, Quezon City, was another shining example of this commitment.
Leading the delegation were PamCham Chairman Rene Romero, President Atty. Paul Yusi, and other esteemed board members. The group expressed admiration for Makimura’s impressive growth and its successful expansion beyond the province of Pampanga.

What started as a humble ramen stall in the parking lot of Barangay Balibago in 2018, founded by a passionate Kapampangan couple, has quickly evolved into a beloved brand with an expanding fan base. With 11 branches already in Pampanga, Zambales, Tarlac, Baguio City, and Metro Manila, Makimura has become a symbol of local culinary excellence. The brand’s affordable yet high-quality ramen has earned it a loyal following, and this year, two more locations will open at The Infinity in Angeles City and San Rafael, Tarlac.
PamCham’s leaders are particularly proud of the brand’s evolution and how it has flourished through networking and growth opportunities offered by the Chamber. Since joining PamCham, Makimura has engaged in various Chamber initiatives, including business expos, mentorship programs, and collaborations with other organizations, helping the business thrive in the competitive market.
The visit to Makimura’s Metro Manila branch was a testament to PamCham’s ongoing support for Kapampangan entrepreneurs making waves in their industries. It underscores the importance of providing platforms for homegrown businesses to grow, connect, and elevate their potential.
As Makimura Ramen Bar continues to expand, it stands as a true example of how Kapampangan entrepreneurs can succeed and bring the authentic flavors of Pampanga to a broader audience, making their mark on the national culinary scene.
