The Voice Newsweekly received the Diamond Award for Print Media during the 75th Anniversary celebration of the Pampanga Press Club (PPC).
PPC cited The Voice Newsweekly “for its commitment as a source of credible news and information, having hurdled the many challenges in its 70 years of existence.”
The recognition was also given by PPC to The Voice Newsweekly “for staying true to its mission, despite the threat to print journalism in the advent of social and other electronic media forms.”
The Voice Newsweekly publisher and editor Lincoln M. Baluyut, who received the award with the publication’s Business Manager Ruby I. Baluyut, expressed gratitude to the PPC for the recognition. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Pampanga Press Club for this recognition and to our readers and supporters who have been with us throughout this journey. This honor belongs not just to ‘The Voice Newsweekly’ but to the vibrant community we proudly serve,” Baluyut stated.
Baluyut, who is a former president of the Pampanga Press Club, also said that the Diamond Award “reaffirms the value of the unwavering mission to uphold journalistic integrity and serves as a beacon of truth for the community. It inspires us to continue adapting and innovating in the ever-evolving media landscape.”
