The salvage art exhibit “Panibayung Bie, Lumang Bague, Alang Panugse” officially opened last Wednesday, February 25, at Culture Shack 2.0, Sandra Mall, Barangay Sto. Rosario, in celebration of National Arts Month.
A collaboration between Alaya Center and Culture Shack 2.0, the four-day exhibit spotlighted artworks crafted from reclaimed materials and nature-inspired forms, challenging viewers to see the sacred and enduring in what is often discarded. Through metaphor and material, the exhibition explored themes of survival, transformation, and reclamation.

Featured artists included Alaya Center members Alexandra Nicole Bajado, Crissa Ann Fabunan, Rose Ann Ramirez, Zaira Dumanop, and Abegail Grace Gutierrez, alongside Abel Bong de Luna, Arnel Maniego, Bency & Tathiana Valencia, Bettina Pangilinan Arriola, Conderlos Lingat, Diana Clara Mendoza, Dinise Demdam, Eulogio Calayag Jr., Gel Canlas, Jappy Chavaria Mendoza, Jerimie Belnas, Joon Claudio, Marlon Guevarra, Michael Serrano, and Ronnie Tayag.

The opening event ended on a vibrant note with a performance by the Kapamu Jazz Collective “Babies,” capping off the celebration of creativity and community.

Meanwhile, the exhibit will conclud on February 28 with an Art Swap Meet, encouraging artists and attendees to exchange artworks, materials, and tools without monetary transactions.
