Philippine Airlines (PAL) has earned top honors as the most punctual airline in the Asia-Pacific region for 2025, posting an on-time arrival performance of 83.12%—the highest among carriers in the region—based on independently verified data from global aviation analytics firm Cirium.
The distinction sets PAL apart in one of the world’s most operationally challenging aviation markets, where airlines regularly face weather disturbances, heavy air traffic, and limited airport capacity. Despite these hurdles, the country’s flag carrier demonstrated consistent reliability across its network.
Now in its 17th year, Cirium’s On-Time Performance program is considered the gold standard for measuring airline reliability, analyzing millions of flights worldwide using transparent and objective methodologies.

PAL underscored that punctuality remains a central promise to its passengers, achieved through close coordination among flight operations, engineering, airport services, ground handling teams, and various customer-facing and corporate support units.
“This achievement reflects the discipline, professionalism, and teamwork of our entire organization, especially our frontline teams who ensure our flights operate safely and reliably every day,” said Lucio C. Tan III, President and Chief Operating Officer of PAL Holdings, Inc. He also credited the airline’s private sector partners—including MacroAsia Corporation, Lufthansa Technik Philippines, New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation, Aboitiz InfraCapital Inc., and LIPAD Corp.—as well as continued support from government partners.
As Asia-Pacific airlines continue to contend with capacity constraints and complex operational demands, PAL said it remains committed to sustaining strong operational performance and further enhancing reliability. The recognition, the airline added, reinforces its vision of becoming a globally recognized carrier that delivers world-class service with care that comes from the heart.
