Prime Infra has rolled out Prime Kalikasan: Greener Prime, Greater Future, a tree-planting initiative that kicked off at its waste management facilities in Porac, Pampanga, and Barangay Binaliw, Cebu City.
Held on September 5 and 6 by Prime Infra Foundation and Prime Waste Solutions (PWS), the program underscores the company’s push to embed sustainability across its operations.
In Pampanga, nearly 150 volunteers—including students, teachers, Katutubo Village residents, LGU representatives, and PWS employees—planted about 700 Ylang-Ylang seedlings, which will serve as natural bio-fencing.
In Cebu, around 1,000 seedlings of native and fruit-bearing species such as Narra, Molave, Rambutan, and Guyabano were planted by PWS Cebu workers.
Prime Infra said the initiative not only helps improve air quality but also supports biodiversity. PWS, its waste management arm, operates large-scale materials recovery facilities in both sites and promotes resource recovery through sorting, segregation, and recycling.
