Mayor Ruding S. Gonzales, Vice Mayor Jonathan Pangan, and Councilor Allaine Ramos led the local rollout of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s “Benteng Bigas Meron Na” Program, benefiting 1,000 residents in Mexico town.
Each beneficiary was able to purchase 10 kilos of rice for just P200.
On top of the subsidized rice, Mayor Gonzales also distributed relief goods to the recipients as part of the municipality’s response following the Provincial Government’s declaration of Pampanga under a state of calamity due to recent calamities.
