𝐏𝟗𝟑.𝟒𝟕-𝐌 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐍𝐑 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐧, 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐜 𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is working on the completion of a preventive maintenance and improvement project along Manila North Road in Bamban, Tarlac.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, said that a P93.47 million road project is being implemented along a section of MNR in Barangay Rolling Hills, Bamban.

The DPWH Tarlac 2nd District Engineering Office reported that the repair which involves the asphalt overlay and reblocking along the 1.03-kilometer section of the road, with added road safety component of solar LED streetlights, and thermoplastic pavement marking, is substantially completed at 99 percent.

“The repair and upgrade will prevent further dilapidation of this road section which is a vital link between the northern parts of Luzon,” said Director Tolentino.

Meanwhile, Director Tolentino also reported the completion of three (3) local road projects which now facilitates better access to Barangay Caluluan and Barangay San Vicente in the town of Concepcion, and in Barangay Mayang, Lapaz.

The DPWH completed the construction of a 583-meter, 2-lane road in Barangay Calaluan costing P4.85 million. The project also includes a reinforced concrete box culvert for irrigation and drainage.

In Barangay Mayang, the DPWH implemeted a 634.4-meter, 2-lane road with solar LED street lights as safety feature costing P4.95 million while in Barangay San Vicente, an 809.79-meter, stone masonry was constructed along the side of an existing road costing P7.68 million.
