SBMA named Philippinesโ€™ โ€œMost Sustainable Investment Hubโ€

The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) was honored as the “Most Sustainable Investment Hub in the Philippines” at the 2024 World Business Outlook Awards. The award ceremony took place on November 2, 2024, at the Marriott Marquis Queens Park in Bangkok, Thailand.

Presented by World Business Outlook magazine, the awards spotlight global leaders excelling in sectors such as finance, real estate, technology, healthcare, and mining. SBMA Chairman and Administrator Eduardo Jose L. Aliรฑo, joined by SBMA officials Director Teodoro Del Rosario, Josephine Ivy Ferrer, and Cleofe Espinelli, received the prestigious accolade from Polish Ambassador to Thailand Artur Dmochowski.

In recognizing SBMA, World Business Outlook praised the authorityโ€™s commitment to sustainable investment practices in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, lauding its leadership and impact on promoting green and innovative business strategies.

โ€œIt is with profound honor that we accept this distinct accolade, which represents the dedication of our community and stakeholders to sustainable development,โ€ Chairman Aliรฑo said. He urged attendees to pursue green technologies and maintain a strong focus on sustainability in their investment practices.

The event gathered top business leaders and industry experts from around the globe, offering opportunities for collaboration among the world’s most forward-thinking companies. Ambassador Dmochowski and India-Thai Chamber of Commerce President Sushil Kumar Dhanuka were among the guests of honor.

World Business Outlookโ€™s mission is to โ€œReward the Ultimate in Business Excellence.โ€ They highlighted that the rigorous selection process ensures that only the most outstanding performers receive these honors, reflecting each recipientโ€™s impact on their respective fields.

Other Filipino companies honored at the event included ABS-CBN Corporation, Ayala Property Management Corporation, Cebu Pacific Air, Centro Escolar University, Megaworld Corporation, Nickel Asia Corporation, and San Miguel Global Power Corporation.
