Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. inspected the construction site of the soon-to-rise three-storey building at the Pampang Public Market on May 29, 2024.
Mayor Lazatin was joined by PPM Administrator Angie Dizon, and City Engineer’s Officer OIC Helen Ayro.
The three-storey building will have 200 new stalls intended for the dry goods vendors who were affected by a fire that broke out in the market in November 2020.
The building will also have steel parking lots on the second and third levels, while the ground level is solely for the dry goods stalls and the food court.
Additionally, the side wing of the building will house mini-eatery establishments or ‘carinderia’.
The Angeles City government has allotted ₱243,900,426.61 for the project.
Among the works to be done for the building are demolition and disposal; structure and excavation; earth filling and compaction; structural concrete and structural steel and framing support.
