SM Malls in Pampanga joined the nation in celebrating the 126th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence, commemorating the courage, resilience, and unity of the Filipino people.

SM City Clark, SM City Pampanga, SM City Telabastagan, and SM City San Fernando Downtown, together with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of the City of San Fernando, celebrated patriotism and promoted nationalism through a flag-raising ceremony.

As the Philippines is home to a wide array of festival events, SM Supermalls aims to provide a culturally enriching experience by showcasing Filipino festivities and performances. Performances included a cultural dance by Points and Flexes Dance Performance at SM City Pampanga, a singing performance by Emer Bondoc & Rozen Capili Super Pinoy Music at The Event Centre of SM City Clark, and a showcase by Lahing Mananayaw Dance Company at SM City Telabastagan.

Scouts, uniformed personnel, mall affiliates, tenants, agencies, mall customers, and mall administration employees came together to commemorate Independence Day at the flag-raising ceremony.

The Philippine Independence Day is celebrated simultaneously in all SM Supermalls nationwide as part of its commitment to the community. Commemorating this day should be more than just raising or waving a flag; it is a reminder of how Filipinos stood in solidarity and asserted their right to independence.
