In a heartwarming display of community spirit and generosity, SM Cares, SM Foundation, and Phoenix/Sibs Publishing collaborated on the successful implementation of the Donate-A-Book project. This joint initiative is aimed at promoting literacy and providing educational resources to communities.
The donation drive, led by Mall Manager Jerwin Jalandoni and dedicated administrative employees, resulted in the delivery of 3,342 assorted books to two chosen beneficiaries: Camachiles Elementary School and Duquit High School. Mr. Dexter D. Tuazon, Teacher I at Camachiles Elementary School, received 800 books on behalf of the school, while Mr. Errol Ignacio B. Ramirez, Teacher III at Duquit High School, received a generous donation of 2,542 books.
The Donate-A-Book project is just one of the many initiatives through which The SM Store and its customers come together to support those in need.
In addition to Donate-A-Book, The SM Store and its partners are actively involved in other initiatives such as Share Your Extras, Gamot Para sa Kapwa, and the Share-A-Toy campaign. Through these initiatives, SM Cares and SM Foundation continue to demonstrate their commitment to making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
