Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. on September 15, 2023 met with Representatives of Clarkhills Properties Corporation, Sheriff Elizabeth Marasigan, Barangay Anunas Homeowners and Barangay Officials, and members of the Angeles City Police, to negotiate the deferment of the scheduled demolition of houses in Barangay Anunas.

The Mayor also met with Oscar Torralba, President of Clarkhills, at the City Mayor’s Office to discuss the following: stopping the demolition until such time that Clarkhills presents the timeline of their development to the City; the City Government’s possible procurement of the lots occupied by the residents; and the relocation of and distribution of financial assistance to the residents, to be provided by Clarkhills.

“The primary goal of the City Government is to protect the welfare of our residents and ensure that they do not get the short end of the stick,” said Lazatin.
