Sangguniang Panlungsod, barangay captains rally for MCG

Majority of the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, along with punong barangays of Mabalacat City, showed resounding support for Mayor Crisostomo Garbo (MCG) during the flag-raising ceremony at the city hall grounds.

City hall employees, job order workers, and elected officials filled the area to demonstrate their backing for MCG.

Councilor Liza Pineda and Councilor Marjorie Morales Sambo were among the prominent figures who spoke passionately in support of Mayor Cris Garbo.

The veteran Councilor Liza Pineda emphasized her strong support for Mayor Garbo since 2019, highlighting their shared vision for the city’s progress. Councilor Morales-Sambo, emphasized that her allegiance lies with Mayor Cris Garbo due to the exemplary governance she has witnessed under his leadership.

Several councilors, including Timothy Dee, Rox Peña, Noel Castro, Jerry Magsino, Carlo Dizon, and Cocoy Tiglao, also voiced their support for Mayor Garbo, underscoring his dedication to public service and commitment to the city’s growth.

Liga ng mga Barangay President Rey Pineda and SK President Paul Andrei Tiongco also expressed their solidarity with Mayor Garbo, praising his leadership and positive impact on the city and the Mabalaquenians.

In response to the overwhelming show of support, Mayor Crisostomo Garbo expressed his gratitude to the Sangguniang Panlungsod members and barangay captains for their staunch backing. He acknowledged the collaborative efforts and unity displayed by the city’s leaders and vowed to continue working tirelessly for the betterment of Mabalacat City.

Addressing the city hall employees, Mayor Cris Garbo urged them to remain focused on their duty of serving the people of Mabalacat City and to refrain from being caught up in political entanglements. “The most important thing is we serve the public with sincerity and to the best of our abilities,” the mayor said.

MCG reiterated that regardless of political affiliations or beliefs, unity in serving the city is paramount. He encouraged all employees, even those not aligned with his political party, to work together for the betterment of the city.

Mayor Garbo drew strength from the support of all, including those who may oppose him, noting that their challenges only serve to motivate him to work harder and strive for excellence in his leadership role.
