Sta. Cruz Mayor Jose Nelson Z. Sala welcomed Department of Transportation (DOTr) Assistant Secretary for Right of Way and Site Acquisition (ROWSA) IC Calaguas and the Mindanao Railway Project (MRP) Management Team, led by Kinly Torredo, for a coordination meeting on the latest ROW developments.

Asec. Calaguas presented the status of ROWSA activities for the project, reaffirming DOTr’s ongoing efforts to secure right-of-way requirements. Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez** earlier emphasized that ROW acquisition for all railway projects is underway, following President Marcos’ directive to expedite the process.

Also present were DOTr officials Anneleen Sugui, Engr. Ray R. Sealana, municipal assessor, and other local officials who expressed full support for the project.
