The Tarlac Police Provincial Office (TPPO), led by Provincial Director PCol. Miguel Guzman, gave arrival honors to Governor Christian Tell Yap and side honors to Vice Governor Estelita “Lita” Aquino during the provincial flag ceremony held July 14 at the Diwa ng Tarlac grounds.
The ceremony marked Gov. Yap’s first official flag raising event as the province’s chief executive, with the TPPO honors symbolizing the administration’s renewed partnership with law enforcement. The event was hosted by the Provincial Information Office (PIO).

Joining the ceremony at the Bulwagang KanLahi were Board Members Pearl Angeli Erguiza-Pacada, Joy Gilbert Lamorena, Agustito “Tito” Roxas, Harmes Sembrano, Dennis Norman Go, Christopher “Topey” delos Reyes, Aaron Villaflor, and Carlito “Casada” David; Dr. Yolanda “Yolly” Gonzales, Principal of Tarlac National High School; and department heads and employees of the provincial government.
“Maraming salamat sa inyong mainit na pagtanggap ngayong araw—isang malaking karangalan na aking tinatanggap nang may buong pagpapakumbaba,” Gov. Yap said in his speech. “Ang mga pagkilalang ito ay hindi lamang para sa akin, kundi para sa bawat mamamayan ng ating lalawigan. Sama-sama pa rin tayo sa pagsulong at pag-unlad.”
The governor expressed gratitude to the PIO for organizing the event and praised the dedication of provincial employees. He also reaffirmed his commitment to a people-centered, inclusive administration.
Vice Governor Aquino, meanwhile, expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and the recognition from the TPPO, calling on all government workers to continue working hard to push Tarlac toward greater progress.
“Isang karangalan ang mabigyan ng PNP side honors… Mapagpalang Lunes mga kailyan at kabalen,” she said, also lauding the TNHS Chorale and the presence of Principal Gonzales, the country’s first Filipina to be named Best Principal of the Year at the World School Summit in London.
Mayor Susan Yap also graced the event and thanked provincial employees for their support during her nine-year tenure as governor.
Board Members Pacada, Roxas, and Villaflor delivered brief messages to formally open their service in the provincial board.
To cap the ceremony, Dr. Gonzales was honored by the provincial government with a plaque and trophy for bringing pride to the province through her international achievement.
