A homegrown initiative that empowers local entrepreneurs to compete on the global stage has earned national recognition.
The International Trade and Investment Mission Assistance Program, launched during the term of then-GovernorSusan Yap, was recently conferred the Presidential Recognition for Outstanding Development Partners by Malacañang.

The program, which has been bringing Tarlac’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to various countries to gain exposure to modern technology and business practices, was cited for its role in strengthening the capacity of local enterprises. By opening access to global markets, the initiative has enabled MSMEs to innovate, become more resilient, and seize new growth opportunities.
“This recognition is proof that when we provide our MSMEs with the right opportunities, they become better prepared and more competitive in the international market,” Yap said.
The award affirms Tarlac’s commitment to supporting inclusive economic development and highlights the province’s contribution to the country’s trade and investment landscape.
